  1. When you’re stressed, your body is in a constant state of the “fight or flight” reaction. Stress causes your mind and body to either react to things with aggression (fight) or to flee from any remotely threatening or aggravating situations (flight).  During this state, your body “forgets” about necessary responses such as digestion, and therefore your body automatically converts and stores your food as fat rather than sugars that it needs to maintain activity. This is why constant stress causes you to gain weight and lose energy.
So… meditate. Meditation is a time where your body can recover from its endless panic simply by focusing on breathing and stillness. You need to calm your nerves and calm your heart and push out the “fight or flight” response, which can cause heart-attacks in animals and an unhealthy heart-rate in humans.
Meditating can sooth your heart and help you lose weight to help you maintain a healthy, stress-free lifestyle.
